Who we are

360 Girls Foundation is a non-profit organisation based in Madina, Accra, Ghana. We support girls aged 10 to 25 in rural communities through education, vocational skills and health. This policy explains how we handle personal information on this website.

What we collect, and why

  • Donations: your name, email address, the amount, how you paid, your payment reference and an optional message. We use these to record and confirm your gift, send your receipt, and keep our accounts.
  • Volunteer applications: your name, email, phone number, location, availability, interests and what you tell us about yourself. We use these to contact you about volunteering.
  • Newsletter: your email address, and your name if you give it. We send you updates about our work only after you confirm your subscription, and every email has an unsubscribe link.
  • Online payments: if you pay by card or mobile money through our payment partner, they process the payment. We receive confirmation of the payment, not your card or mobile money PIN.
  • Visits to this website: a simple, anonymous count of page views, the type of device and the site that referred you. See "Analytics" below.

Analytics without tracking

We measure which pages are visited so we can improve the site. We do not use advertising trackers. We do not set analytics cookies. We do not store your IP address. Each visit is given a short random label that changes every day, so nobody can be followed from one day to the next. If your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal, we do not count your visit.

Who sees your information

Only authorised members of the Foundation can see donor, volunteer and subscriber records. We do not sell or rent your information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the website (for example our email delivery and payment partners) and only for that purpose, or when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Donation records are kept for as long as our accounting and legal duties require. Volunteer applications are kept while you are active with us and for a reasonable period afterwards. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.

Keeping it safe

The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Staff sign in with a one-time code sent to their email, and every action in the admin area is logged. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Your choices

  • Ask to see the information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct or delete it.
  • Withdraw your consent, for example by using the unsubscribe link in any newsletter.
